Description
This plate is one of the celebrated illustrations from Robert Thornton’s Temple of Flora, a landmark early-1800s work that set its botanical subjects against dramatic painted landscapes. Here the China limodoron, a Chinese ground orchid, is shown in full bloom against a stormy mountain backdrop.
Available unframed or framed in white, wood or black, and sized from A4 up to A0 to suit any wall. Hang it alone as a dramatic statement piece, or pair it with the Indian Reed Print, another Temple of Flora plate.
Material: 192gsm fine art paper, pigment-based archival inks
Finish: Unframed, or framed in white, wood or black
Sizes: A4, A3, A2, A1, A0
Care instructions:
Keep out of direct sunlight and damp to preserve the print’s colour and paper. Dust a framed print gently with a soft, dry cloth, and avoid touching an unframed print’s surface directly.
