Description

Each one of Mervyn Gers products are individually hand-sculpted from earthenware, embodying the organic look and feel of kiln-fired clay. During the creative process, the clay is mixed with finely milled ceramic to form a rougher texture which can then be shaped and fired at a temperature of 1200°C. The final stoneware is checked thoroughly for quality and consistency, after which it undergoes a hand glazing process that provides the perfect finish. Embodied in the irregular and structural nuances of each ceramic piece, is the artisanal nature of this expertly crafted tableware.

This platter is made to order and crafted by hand so each will be unique in their own way.
