About the Author:
Elmarie Berry het in Bloemfontein grootgeword, en van kleins af was kos “in haar bloed” en die kombuis haar “troon”. Reeds op 15 het sy haar eerste klas by ’n kookskool gehad en het sy partytjies en pieknieks gereël, tafels keurig gedek en blomme gerangskik. Heelwat kookkursusse het gevolg, en Elmarie het verskeie draaie in restaurant- en hotelkombuise gemaak waar sy die fynere kunsies van kosvoorbereiding aangeleer het.
Sy en haar gesin hou daarvan om te reis en sedert 2015 het sy as blogskrywer begin om haar resepte, wynvoorkeure en koservarings te deel wat sy daardeur teëgekom het. Elmarie is ook ’n suksesvolle kosstilis en -fotograaf en die medeeienaar van Samesyn, ’n aanlyn besigheid waar kosfotografi e op luukse tafellinne, kussings en komberse gedruk word. Sy woon tans in Somerset-Wes met haar man, Thian, en twee kinders.
